THE JOB
As a Sonographer, your focus is on ultrasound support for VEG hospitals and training facilities. This means working closely with our emergency doctors to provide same-day ultrasound scans for pets when they need it most. You'll deal with a variety of patient types and scans, so being comfortable adapting to new scenarios and willing to learn new techniques and think outside the box are all part of your day-to-day. You'll also assist in coordinating education opportunities and overall ultrasound training for your home and regional hospitals, inspire and motivate your fellow VEGgies to grow their ultrasound skills, and be ready to pitch in at the hospital whenever and wherever needed.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
<ul>
<li>Supporting patient care needs after-hours, including urgent admissions, symptom management, and other patient needs. Think of a triage/emergency room nurse for hospice patients' after-hours in homes, facilities, and residential care communities in your neighborhood. </li>
<li>Providing positive, supportive communication to physicians, NPs, our hospice case managers, patients, and families. </li>
</ul>
In this role, you will not be responsible for:
<ul>
<li>Triaging of patients, our after-hours RNs are supported by our triage team who dispatch our RNs only when an in-person visit is required. </li>
<li>An assigned "Case Load" of patients requiring a "Case Manager" </li>
<li>On-going management of hospice patients. You will be working as a "emergency room" nurse for hospice patients, in your community. </li>
</ul>
Required Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, Baccalaureate, or Masters Degree in Nursing</li>
<li>Current State License as a Registered Nurse </li>
<li>Minimum of one year nursing experience in a clinical care setting</li>
<li>Demonstrates clinical nursing competencies in accordance with accepted standards of practice</li>
<li>Able to assess and respond appropriately to the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of patients, families, and caregivers</li>
<li>Exhibits strong interpersonal communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to support patients and families facing end-of-life issues</li>
<li>Capable of managing multiple priorities, documentation requirements, and time-sensitive responsibilities efficiently</li>
<li>Reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance coverage</li>
</ul>

JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt
LOCATIONS: William E. Cottle Elementary School in Eastchester, NY
PAY: $16.50 per hour
HOURS: 7:00 - 9:00 am and 3:30 - 6:00 pm as needed
 
The Before and After-School Program Team is responsible for:
<ul>
<li>Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.</li>
<li>Providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.</li>
<li>Communicating daily with parents and family members via the Playground App.</li>
<li>Observing state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.</li>
<li>Certain positions may also perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.</li>
</ul>
Requirements:
MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul>
<li>You're 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>While having 1 year of experience working with kiddos under 13 is awesome, it's not a must-have. We believe in potential and passion!</li>
<li>You've got the green light from your doctor - medically fit to rock all the job duties and free of any communicable diseases including TB.</li>
<li>You’re warm, friendly, and upbeat. Exceptional people skills are your jam, whether it's with kiddos, parents, or fellow team members. Plus, you're professional, reliable, and always prompt.</li>
