Requirements:
Education and/or Experience Applicable Nursing Degree.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Current State Nursing License and Basic Life Support Certification is required. 
Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Reasoning Ability to solve practical problems and support a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, the employee should have knowledge of EMR DocuTap, Excel Spreadsheet software, and MS Word Processing software.
Other Qualifications Successful completion of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) optional.

What you'll be doing… 
Our Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses work in our clients' home providing skilled medical care. Schedules are based on the client and the family needs. No two clients are alike. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

<li>Complete assessments, medication administration, and provide therapies, treatments, and interventions as scheduled in accordance with the plan of care and physician’s orders.</li>
<li>Partner with all members of the interdisciplinary team including the family, ensuring a constant flow of communication regarding the client’s cares, changes in condition, developmental goals, etc.</li>
<li>Provide support and education to clients and families to help them be successful.</li>
<li>Build rapport and trust with clients, families or other caregivers, the office team, and peers to facilitate effective communication and build relationships.</li>
<li>Complete timely charting through our electronic medical record system. </li>
<li>Keep up to date with the client’s plan of care, changes in conditions, physician’s orders, family, or caregiver requests, etc.</li>
<li>Advocate for the client and family to promote and support growth and development.</li>
<li>Examples of some of our nursing cares include gastrostomy tubes, jejunostomy tubes, nasogastric tubes, PICCs, PORTs, tracheostomies, seizure disorders, etc. </li>

Job Description
McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for CMA/LPN/RN for its West Ames office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.
Responsibilities include: rooming patients, assisting provider in exam rooms, assisting provider with in-office procedures, patient phone call triage, stocking rooms, obtaining prior authorizations as needed for medications, surgeries and imaging. Position comes with competitive clinic pay and valuable benefits package. 
Temporary position with an expected end date of June 2026. While not guaranteed, perhaps another position will emerge in Mohs or Dermatology when this positions ends. 
Education
