Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Lighthouse Residential Treatment
Job Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and the Nurse Manager - Residential Withdrawal Management (RWM) as part of an interdisciplinary team ensuring the provision of safe and high-quality client care. The LPN identifies the need for medical attention and alerts the RN and/or medical provider of concerns. This position reports to the Nursing Manager.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
<ul>
<li>Assists the RN as part of the admission process and provides nursing care throughout the client's stay</li>
<li>Executes orders from the medical providers and tasks assigned by the RN, including medication administration, obtaining vitals, and utilizing validated withdrawal assessment tools, documenting all care in the electronic client record (ECR)</li>
<li>Performs point-of-care testing, including obtaining urine specimens, and arranges transport to the lab as ordered.</li>
<li>Oversees and maintains medication records in accordance with state and federal regulations.</li>
<li>Ensures client care by providing support to the interdisciplinary team as needed, which includes coordinating care with outside providers and discharge planning.</li>
<li>Performs client teaching regarding medication, medical conditions, and healthful behaviors to enhance the client's health and well-being.</li>
<li>Maintains a comfortable, orderly, safe, and clean environment for clients.</li>
<li>Completes all agency-required training and continuing education required for license.</li>
<li>Performs other related duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Required Experience/Certifications:
<ul>
<li>Valid and current state LPN license</li>
<li>1 year experience as an LPN</li>
<li>Knowledge of psychiatric medications, their indications, common side effects, and common medication interactions</li>
<li>Knowledge of federal, state, and other applicable standards for clinical practice in assigned area(s)</li>
<li>Must pass BCI check, all corporate compliance checks, and employment drug screen</li>
</ul>
Desired Experience/Certifications:
<ul>
<li>Psychiatric or addiction nursing experience preferred</li>
<li>Previous experience as an LPN in a behavioral health setting</li>
</ul>
Schedule: This is a PRN (as-needed) position with flexible shift opportunities, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on facility needs. 
Compensation Range: $23.65 - $29.57 ** With $2 Shift Differential for 3rd shift
