<li>Performs additional diagnostic and/or therapeutic clinical procedures as necessary.</li>
<li>Collaborates with external healthcare facilities to facilitate access to specialty and inpatient care.</li>

<li>Actively participates in educational activities related to HIV and primary care standards at Whitman-Walker and in the community.</li>
</ul>

<li>Provides educational opportunities and is eager to supervise medical students, PA students, NP students, medical residents, and medical students.</li>

<li>Becomes actively involved in clinical case conferences and journal clubs.</li>
</ul>

<li>Participates in quality improvement activities at Whitman-Walker.</li>
<li>Assists the medical management in developing, reviewing, and updating medical services policies and protocols.</li>
<li>Helps develop new protocols and policies.</li>
<li>Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.</li>
<li>Primary contacts are with patients seeking medical treatment at Whitman-Walker Health.</li>
<li>Works closely with the patient care teams to provide the highest quality, collaborative health care.</li>

<li>Work is integrated between all WWH departments and outside agencies as clinically appropriate.</li>
</ul>
Education and Experience Required
<ul>
<li>Medical Doctorate or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.</li>
<li>License to practice medicine in Washington, DC.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Board certified or eligible in Family Practice, Medicine/Pediatrics, or Internal Medicine. Certification preferred.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>2 years of experience working with people living with HIV or issues related to HIV care preferred.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Ability to provide culturally sensitive medical services to a diverse client population</li>
</ul>

<li>Instructs and counsels other health team personnel and family members in methods of assisting patient in improving, correcting, and accepting his/her disabilities</li>
<li>Participates in staff development activities and in-service education as requested</li>

Education &amp; Experience: Pediatric Speech Language Pathology (SLP)
