This full-time, contract opportunity focuses on supporting young learners in their communication and language development. Qualifications and Skills
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license in Arizona, or ability to obtain before starting
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, CFY considered
- Prior experience working with elementary-aged children strongly desired
- Expertise in both assessment and developmentally appropriate intervention strategies
- Strong communication skills, with a commitment to consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists
- Comfortable maintaining thorough documentation and progress monitoring as required in school settings
Responsibilities
- Provide evaluations, diagnoses, and individualized therapy to elementary school students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support academic and social success
- Deliver both group and one-on-one therapy sessions tailored to student needs
- Maintain accurate records and prepare required reports
- Consult with families, offering guidance and resources to promote consistent language growth at home
- Remain current with best practices and legal requirements in school-based speech and language services
