Position Overview
Overall responsibilities include assessment and treatment of mental illness through a combination of evaluations and medication management. Works collaboratively with the Medical Director. This individual provides safe, effective, and compassionate care that is consistent with State and Federal regulations and Company policies, procedures, and guidelines and within his/her scope of practice. Essential Job Functions

Job Context

<li>Familiarity with behavioral health theory, emerging promising practices, and Evidence-Based Practice.</li>
<li>Prior experience or knowledge of working with clients with severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders (mental health and substance use disorders) preferred.</li>
<li>Prior experience with community-based care preferred</li>
</ul>
Skills &amp; Abilities:
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of medical and non-medical service delivery system.</li>
<li>Ability to effectively work with clients who present with significant mental health symptoms and co-occurring disorders</li>
<li>Effective communication with members, family and supports, guardians, and service providers.</li>
<li>Knowledge of trends and issues, laws and regulations related to the delivery of community based care a plus</li>
<li>Ability to establish relationships with individuals and organizations of influence within the social services community, including civic groups, charitable agencies, related government entities, fundraising sources, etc.</li>
<li>Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.</li>
</ul>
Work Conditions and Considerations:
<ul>
<li>This position will be based at the 47th Street location.</li>
<li>Transportation from other Wyandot BHN locations or at various community sites required to meet the business needs of the clients</li>
<li>Must provide proof of current Driver’s License (non-suspended &amp; non-expired), automobile insurance and clean driving record. Must be willing to submit to a vehicle inspection or provide proof of inspection within last year.</li>
