Job Summary and Qualifications
Provides direct patient care to the adult patient population. Prepares patient for and recovers patient after cardiovascular and radiology diagnostic and interventional procedures performed in the CV Lab, administers medications and performs procedural documentation for all patients while in the CV Prep and Recovery unit, administers conscious sedation to patients undergoing transesophageal echo procedures and monitors patients undergoing cardiac stress tests, tilt table tests and cardioversions. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the procedure preparation and recovery environment. Communicates with the physician and patient family as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Participates in departmental performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
What qualifications you will need:

The primary role of the Dental Assistant is to support the success of the clinicians through effective delivery of the Perfect Patient Experience (PPE), thus creating a Patient for Life (PFL). Dental assistants perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. Dental assistants prepare patients for oral examination and assist other dental professionals in providing treatment to the teeth, mouth, and gums. Dental assistants must work effectively with co-workers including Specialty dental assistants, patients, and the front office by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner. A successful dental assistant will execute active listening to objectively consider ideas and suggestions from others, keep commitments; keep others informed of work progress, and address problems constructively to identify practical business solutions. 
Specialty Dental Assistants If dental assistant is assigned within specialty areas including: Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Periodontics or Pediatric, they will primarily be supporting clinicians within that specialty and may be required to have additional training.

This position is critical to quality for customer satisfaction. Additionally, since many changes do occur from day to day, great flexibility on the part of the SPT I is required. The SPT I will be exposed to many different demands made by the customer. Majority of SPT I work on the nightshift but based on staffing needs, weekends, holidays, on call and overtime availability is a requirement..</li>

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
<ul>
<li>Responsible for the accurate review of PYA clients’professional fee coding per industry coding audit standards, support of the management team with project management tasks, support of the verbal and written reporting to the client, and conducting provider coding and documentation education (generally, conducted remotely).</li>
<li>Coding auditing of complex services rendered by physician and non-physician practitioners using current coding guidelines, with attention to Medicare, medical necessity, and NCD/LCD requirements. Professional coding auditing expertise in multiple specialties is required, including strength in E/M and surgical coding, preferably including cardiology and orthopedic surgery. Expertise in facility inpatient and outpatient coding auditing is preferred but not required.</li>
<li>The Consultant will assist PYA clients with provider coding and documentation improvement, reviews for billing and other regulatory compliance with third party payers, revenue cycle management, as well as reimbursement methodology advisory support.</li>

REQUIREMENTS:

<li>5-7 years of multiple specialty coding auditing</li>
<li>Expertise in E/M and surgical coding 5-10 specialties and high-working knowledge in more</li>

<li>Strong understanding of and experience in auditing for compliance with 1995, 1997, and 2021/2023 E/M Guidelines required </li>

<li>Additional credentials such as RHIT, CCS, CPMA, or specialty designations desirable</li>
<li>Physician practice operations, including financial reimbursement and revenue cycle understanding, is preferred</li>
<li>Knowledge related to post-acute coding and billing (SNF, Home Health, Palliative Care, Behavioral Health) is a plus</li>
<li>Experience presenting to and educating physicians and other healthcare providers is preferred </li>
