Position Summary
The neuro-interventional technologist will assist in routine diagnostic, highly complex invasive neuro, and peripheral interventions. The technologist will assist in performing many neuro-interventional surgical procedures such as cerebral aneurysm coils, avascular malformations, and stroke interventions.
<ul>
<li>The neuro-interventional technologist is required to be competent in a wide variety of procedures referred by oncology, trauma, urology, gastroenterology, and nephrology.</li>
<li>The neuro-interventional technologist must follow established protocols and guidelines for use by physicians in diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.</li>
<li>The neuro-interventional technologist demonstrates an excellent knowledge of the human anatomy &amp; pathology and can use this knowledge to provide quality imaging for interpretation. Will be responsible for ordering and stocking of supplies utilized in Special Procedures and the Biplane.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Must have a thorough understanding of aseptic technique.</li>
<li>Must be able to scrub and/or circulate in the Special Procedure and Biplane suites, have a thorough knowledge of catheters, anatomy, positioning, and techniques used in angiography and related work.&nbsp;</li>
