Mill Creek Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and motivated Dietary Manager to lead the Food Services Department at our skilled nursing facility in Winston-Salem, NC. This leadership role is ideal for someone who is passionate about providing nutritious, high-quality meals while creating a positive dining experience for our residents.

As Dietary Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the dietary department, ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, manage departmental budgets, and lead a dedicated team committed to exceptional resident care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the dietary department to ensure quality food service and resident satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with dietitians and culinary staff to develop nutritious, appealing menus that meet residents' dietary needs.

  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.

  • Manage food, supply, and labor budgets while maintaining quality and efficiency.

  • Monitor inventory levels and oversee purchasing of food and supplies.

  • Recruit, train, supervise, and support dietary team members.

  • Foster strong communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to promote exceptional resident care.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Current ServSafe Certification required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of food service management or related operational leadership experience, preferably in healthcare or long-term care.

  • Associate degree or higher in Food Service Management, Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, dietary guidelines, and budget management.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical duties including standing, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling throughout the workday.
