Medix Infusion is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistants (MA) to join our team! In this essential role, you’ll be a vital part of our clinic, providing compassionate, high-quality care to patients while supporting our nursing staff. As a Medical Assistant, you’ll collaborate closely with our Intake, Scheduling, Pharmacy, and Clinical teams to ensure seamless coordination of care and contribute to an outstanding patient experience.
 
Role Location &amp; Schedule: 
This is a full-time onsite float position between three clinic locations:
<ul>
<li>Des Peres, MO </li>
<li>Chesterfield, MO </li>
<li>St. Peters, MO</li>
</ul>
You will be working as part of a small team with minimal supervision. Standard business hours apply (typically 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday). Exact schedule will be discussed during the interview process.

Our experienced team provides treatments such as anti-infectives, biologics, IVIG, and other injectables.
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Assist patients and support nurses in the clinic to facilitate smooth and efficient care delivery. </li>
<li>Accurately document patient interactions and care details in the EMR system. </li>
<li>Coordinate patient care with multidisciplinary teams, including home health, pharmacy, and insurance providers. </li>
<li>Collaborate with medical providers to obtain necessary documentation for timely referral processing. </li>
<li>Stay current on reimbursement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance. </li>
<li>Attend departmental meetings and participate in ongoing training and development sessions. </li>
<li>Model professional, courteous, and compassionate behavior in all patient and team interactions. </li>
<li>Proficiently use Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Word, and Excel for communication and documentation. </li>
</ul>
Required Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification required, BLS required. </li>
<li>Preferred: 1+ years of experience in a healthcare role, ideally as a Medical Assistant </li>
<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills </li>
<li>Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment </li>
<li>Previous healthcare experience in infusion services is a plus </li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal skills to support interactions with patients, staff, and vendors </li>
<li>Competency in using company self-service payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite </li>
<li>Sensitivity to cultural and language differences in patient care </li>
<li>Basic mathematical skills for routine calculations </li>
<li>Candidates will be required to complete a Predictive Index Assessment as part of the recruitment process </li>

Physical Demands:

Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with patients, vendors, and staff.
