ABOUT THE ROLE
At PharmCo Rx, our Pharmacy Technicians are the backbone of our daily operations. Working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will play a key role in dispensing medications accurately, supporting patients with professionalism, and keeping the pharmacy running smoothly. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, count, label, and dispense prescription medications accurately under pharmacist supervision
- Process third-party insurance claims and collect patient co-payments
- Maintain accurate patient profiles, prescription records, and inventory logs
- Communicate professionally with physicians, patients, and insurers
- Support front-end operations including greeting customers, answering phones, and assisting with OTC product location
- Keep the pharmacy environment clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Comply with all applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, and HIPAA guidelines

REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Creole speaking candidates HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Active Pharmacy Technician License from the Board of Pharmacy in the state of employment
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and medical terminology
- Ability to stand for long periods of time; ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in computer skills and pharmacy software systems
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
