Job DescriptionJob Overview

The role involves conducting Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures while ensuring a thorough understanding of all operational equipment. You will assist both patients and medical professionals as necessary, staying updated on the latest scanning methods and technological advancements. Additionally, you will be responsible for training technical staff on established protocols and post-processing techniques.

Qualifications

  • Patient Age Range: All age groups.
  • Required Education: High School Diploma or GED, along with vocational training. Completion of a Radiologic Technology program is essential.
  • Preferred Education: An Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • Essential Skills:
    • Proficiency in computer software with the ability to troubleshoot issues.
    • Capability to offer both physical and emotional support to patients.
  • Licensure/Certifications:
    • A.R.R.T. certification along with a Florida Radiographer License or ARMRIT certification.
    • MRI Certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
    • BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Required Experience: One to two years in computerized imaging or completion of a post-secondary MRI certification program.
  • Preferred Experience: Less than one year in Cardiac Imaging.
