Qualifications:

  • Active New Mexico (NMRLD) Physical Therapy license required by start date
  • New Mexico Public Education Department licensure (NMPED) or in pending status
  • Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred, but strong new graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct physical therapy services to students, ensuring individualized care for student success
  • Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with IEP teams
  • Evaluate students to determine eligibility and needs for PT services
  • Maintain thorough, timely records and progress reports
  • Consult with teachers, staff, and families to promote student access to learning
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary teams and participate in IEP meetings
