The Clinical Director is one of the senior clinical leaders and as such, oversees and manages the operations and administrative functions of their clinic. The Clinical Director directly supervises, mentors and coaches clinicians and is responsible for the performance and results of the clinical team, ensuring that clients and families are receiving high quality, effective services to address client needs. The Clinical Director &amp; Lead BCBA ensures the consistent implementation and effective management of clinical policies, procedures and best practices. Essential Functions :

These methods include discrete trial teaching (DTT), natural environment teaching (NET), pivotal response treatment (PRT), and verbal behavior. Ensures all standards of care are followed per state and insurance guidelines. </li>
<li> Oversees client programming. Develops effective ways to implement ABA strategies and address problem behaviors. Interacts with clinical teams to communicate programming recommendations and implementation strategies. </li>
<li> Uses the Caravel Autism Health (CAH) Qualities of Effective Treatment (QET), and clinical data to improve and adjust treatment programs to improve outcomes. </li>
<li> In conjunction with the clinical team, the Lead BCBA will assess and determine whether a change in the level of care (increase or decrease hours) for a client would be clinically appropriate. If a change in the level of care is deemed appropriate, the Lead BCBA ensures the change is communicated to the family, clinical staff, and appropriate funding source. </li>
<li> Completes appropriate reports and documentation critical to funding reimbursement processes. </li>
<li> Proactively addresses client issues and follows-up as appropriate to ensure satisfactory resolution. Solicits feedback from parents/families regarding their satisfaction level with services provided. Ensures parent/family concerns are addressed and resolved in a timely and thorough manner. </li>

 Qualifications : Education:

<li> Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) with a minimum of 400 hours of hands-on training in providing ABA services directly to children and/or adults with autism under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst who has at least two years of experience in ABA programming for individuals with autism, or actively pursuing such certification. </li>
<li> A Bachelor's Degree in a human services discipline and at least 2,000 hours of training or supervised experience in the use of behaviorally based therapy models consistent with best practice and research on effectiveness for children with autism spectrum disorders who meet all criteria to receive this service, OR </li>
<li> Must be legally authorized to perform psychotherapy, with either a Master's Degree in one of the behavioral sciences who has at least 400 hours of training or supervised experience in the use of behaviorally-based therapy models consistent with best practice and research on effectiveness for children with autism spectrum disorders, in addition to, or as part of their 3,000 hours of training/supervision; and have sufficient written evidence of training and/or education in the method of evidence-based therapy being delivered, prior to the provision of services. </li>

 Position Summary
Key Responsibilities3ical Assistant to support our providers at our L Street clinic in Washington, DC. This role involves a combination of administrative and clinical responsibilities to help ensure seamless patient care and efficient daily operations. The schedule for this position is Monday – Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
 
Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Compile and maintain patient records, medical charts, and documentation</li>
<li>Schedule appointments for physical exams and chronic disease management</li>
<li>Process prior authorizations and referrals, and respond to inquiries from patients and providers</li>
<li>Track and link diagnostic imaging (DI) with provider orders</li>
<li>Confirm patient insurance for billable lab services</li>
<li>Take and document patient vitals, screenings, and health logs</li>
<li>Prepare, clean, and restock exam rooms</li>
<li>Operate equipment (EKG, X-ray, etc.) and assist with diagnostic testing</li>
<li>Administer injections and perform routine lab tests</li>
<li>Support PCMH and quality initiatives</li>
<li>Cover staff absences and assist team members as needed</li>
<li>Interpret instructions, communicate clearly, and solve routine problems</li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements
<ul>
<li>Frequently required to sit, communicate verbally, use hands for various tasks, and actively listen</li>
<li>Occasionally required to stand, walk, and lift/move up to 10 lbs.</li>
</ul>

Required Qualifications
<ul>
<li>2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant</li>
<li>Completion of a certified Medical Assistant training program</li>
<li>Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)</li>
<li>Current BLS or CPR certification</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Primary Care and/or Internal Medicine experience</li>
<li>Experience with eClinicalWorks (ECW) and Athena</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite</li>
<li>Awareness of population health</li>
<li>Current CCMA, CMA, or RMA certification</li>
</ul>
Medical Clearance
Must meet CPC’s medical clearance requirements, including documentation for:
<ul>
<li>Hepatitis B vaccination</li>
<li>Pneumococcal screening</li>
<li>Tuberculosis screening</li>
</ul>
