 Job Summary: The Behavioral Interventionist (BI) works one-on-one in the home and/or community with youth who struggle with behavioral management to the degree it threatens the stability of their living situation. The families in this program have varying levels of communication, parenting, organizational, and cleanliness skill sets. Our job is to work with all families, regardless of skill levels displayed. It is the expectation that the assigned BI continue the case assignment, regardless of family dynamics or home conditions. 
 
Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide one-on-one services to clients enrolled in the Behavioral Interventionist program, following requirements and policies of agency, contracts, state regulations and COA standards at all times. Maintain strong, open communication with supervisors, caregivers of clients to ensure service efficacy and approval of agenda and activities during shifts. Adhere to family routines and structure, as established. Provide direct supervision to client at all times and assist clients through completion of daily responsibilities, activities, and living skills with direction, coaching, and approved intervention strategies at all times. Actively and regularly engage with client by using approved Bruce Perry trauma-informed brain stimulating activities. Adhere to the goals established in the Individualized Behavioral Objective Plan to help youth work toward and achieve treatment goals. Model positive behavior and effective problem-solving techniques, and model ethical and professional behavior at all times. Complete all shift documentation the same day of a shift worked. Participate as an active team member by attending and participating in all scheduled staff meetings and professional development trainings and supervisions Meet with clients professional team and attend court hearings as requested by supervisor if necessary Maintain First Aid/CPR Certification/CPI Certification 
 Qualifications &amp; Preferred Skills Must be at least 21 years of age. High school diploma required; bachelors degree preferred. At least one (1) year of experience working with youth with elevated behavioral needs preferred. Must be willing and able to perform safety holds on clients who are at immediate risk for harming themselves or others. Must be able to navigate stairs, climb, twist, bend, and lift up to 100 pounds. Must have smart phone (Android/iPhone) and laptop/computer willing to use for work purposes. Willing to commute up to 20 miles to a clients home. Valid drivers license, car insurance, and reliable transportation. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Solid commitment to the principles of support and advocacy for foster and adoptive families. Ability to collaborate and advocate for positive outcomes, using excellent interpersonal skills Flexible schedule and a self-starter; able to multi-task while also being highly detail-oriented while meeting all deadlines. Use effective communication and interpersonal skills that consistently respect children, adults, and their families, able to shift styles to fit the needs of a wide range of cultures, people, and organizations. Demonstrates the ability to learn and to practice teamwork; patient and compassionate. Understands and respects the necessity for confidentiality. Positive and calm presence in all situations. Certified Surgical Technician (CST)
Location: New York, NY 10011
Start Date: February 17, 2026
Duration: 13 weeks (possible extension based on performance)
Schedule:
<ul>
<li>4 days per week</li>
<li>10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)</li>
<li>40 hours weekly</li>
<li>Required to float to Perioperative Services</li>

Job Summary
The Certified Surgical Technician provides surgical assistance to surgical residents and attending physicians in the Oral Surgery Clinic and Dental Ambulatory Operating Room/Procedure Room. The CST ensures a safe, sterile, and efficient surgical environment while delivering high-quality patient care.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Escort patients to the surgical chair and screen patients awaiting procedures.</li>
<li>Review medical records to confirm required treatment and ensure documentation is complete (notes, PMH, lab results, etc.).</li>
<li>Provide continuous “four-handed” chair-side assistance to clinicians.</li>
<li>Clean and disinfect countertops, mayo stands, equipment, and operatory areas prior to setup.</li>
<li>Organize and prepare sterile instruments, surgical trays, and equipment for each procedure.</li>
<li>Take radiographs as requested before, during, or after procedures.</li>
<li>Monitor patient vitals, assist with suctioning, pass instruments and medications as directed.</li>
<li>Remove instruments and equipment post-procedure and dispose of medical waste properly.</li>
<li>Restock cabinets and drawers; order and maintain surgical and medical supplies.</li>
<li>Demonstrate the ability to respond effectively and calmly during emergency situations.</li>

Requirements
<ul>
<li>Certified Surgical Technician (CST)</li>
<li>Minimum 2 years of recent CST experience (required)</li>
<li>Ability to float to Perioperative areas</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical protocols</li>
</ul>
 
Compensation
<ul>
<li>Travel Rate: $2,300 weekly</li>
<li>Hourly (Travel): $57.50/hour</li>
<li>Local Rate: $48–$50/hour</li>

Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Must hold a Master's (min) degree in the field of Speech Therapy from an accredited program</li>
<li>Licensed to practice Speech Language Pathology in state of occupancy</li>
<li>Current valid BLS CPR card</li>
<li>Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and current auto liability insurance.</li>
