 General Summary of Position
 
The NP role includes examination, evaluation, assessment and interpretation of clinical data to provide care for patients with podiatric concerns and complex wound management. Professional practice is in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

<li>Interview patients for health history and perform physical examination</li>
<li>Order and evaluate appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests</li>
<li>Document H &amp; P, progress notes, and treatment plans</li>
<li>Act as liaison between patients and physicians to coordinate recommended patient care as well as pre- and post-operative care</li>
<li>Caring for patients in both the clinic and hospital setting</li>
<li>Participate in multi-disciplinary quality and service improvement meetings</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned</li>

Requirements

<li>Education/Training -Master of Science degree or higher, with completion of a Nurse Practitioner Program</li>

What to expect as a Director of Patient Care Services:

<li> Responsible for the planning, coordination, and oversight of patient care services within the Critical Access Hospital.</li>
<li>Provides leadership to nursing unit directors, clinical coordinators, supervisors, and frontline staff within assigned patient care areas.</li>
<li>Ensure delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality nursing care across inpatient, hospital outpatient, emergency, swing bed, and ancillary service areas. </li>
<li> Enters into staffing as needed. </li>
<li>Ensures BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications are up to date as serving as an instructor for the facility.</li>
<li>Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, supports regulatory compliance, and advances patient-centered initiatives in alignment with the hospital’s mission, vision, and values. </li>
<li>Reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and assists in achieving nursing strategic priorities and organizational goals. </li>
