Job Description

Lead Certified medical assistant. Must be professional, responsible, have excellent customer service, and willing to adapt to constant changes in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience is a plus, however, we can train the right candidate. Certification required.

Spanish speaking a plus!

  • Assist physician in office
  • Administer oral and inject-able medications
  • Assist patients with insurance forms
  • Assist physicians and other providers with exams and procedures
  • Call or fax prescriptions to pharmacies
  • Start and follow up Prior Authorization
  • Change dressings
  • Clean and maintain instruments and medical equipment, including in the laboratory
  • Collect medical history and data about previous health, medical and surgical history from patients
  • Collect specimens for lab tests
  • Document electronic medical records
  • Enter data from monitoring and tracking systems such and vaccine and medication refrigerators, sterilization devices and other quality or safety data
  • Manage medical records
  • Measure patent vital signs (pulse, blood pressure, pulse and temperature), height and weight
  • Perform in-office lab tests
  • Perform specialized testing such as EKGs, vision screening and hearing tests
  • Provide patient education as directed by the doctor or other provider
  • Remove staples and stitches
  • Stock exam rooms, and laboratory
  • Quality of care

    Monitor patient flow and satisfaction, and ensure patients receive high quality care

  • Training

    Evaluate training records and identify training needs for medical assistants
