Clinical Pharmacist – Oncology Clinic
Days (8:00 AM–5:00 PM) | 13-Week Contract | Extension & Direct-Hire Potential
Setting: Outpatient Oncology Clinic
Software: Epic
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist for a 13-week contract opportunity with an established oncology clinic. This position offers the potential for extension or direct hire for the right candidate. The pharmacist will play a key role in both clinical oncology services and pharmacy operations, working closely with providers, nursing staff, and pharmacy technicians to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Responsibilities include developing and reviewing oncology treatment plans, providing clinical oversight of chemotherapy and oncology therapies, supervising the preparation of hazardous medications, and verifying compounded medications prepared by pharmacy technicians. The pharmacist will also assist with daily pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Active Illinois Pharmacist license
- Clinical pharmacy experience in an oncology setting
- Oncology and chemotherapy experience
- Experience handling hazardous medications
- Sterile compounding experience
- Ability to work independently in a specialized oncology pharmacy environment
