Nurses function independently, with mileage reimbursement and full clinical escalation support provided. Key Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Staff will maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful Trauma-Informed Care language</li>
<li>Responsible for the delivery of crisis intervention services and follow up for people in the upper 21 counties of the Panhandle of Texas</li>
<li>Work as part of a Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) to provide direct care services for the TPC service area</li>
<li>Work closely with community stakeholders including law enforcement (CIT, police officers, judges, sheriff’s), hospitals and other social services</li>
<li>Provide community education to help others access crisis services and understand mental health conditions and treatment resources</li>
<li>Work with people experiencing a crisis using person-centered approaches</li>
<li>Document all interventions according to agency standards</li>
<li>Be a part of an after-hours on-call rotation</li>
<li>Some travel may be required to reach more rural areas of the Texas Panhandle</li>
<li>Requires visiting hospitals to meet with clients, establish care plans, and continue providing care after the clients are discharged and move into their community</li>
<li>All services will be provided using evidence-based practices that are person-centered and trauma-informed</li>
<li>Need to have the skills necessary to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with clients right after a crisis situation</li>
<li>Introduce clients to a range of services offered by TPC and other community services and will provide care coordination to facilitate access to these resources</li>
<li>Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case staffing to develop treatment approaches that best fit the needs to the client</li>
<li>Maintain same-day, next-day documentation requirements and a 95% or higher compliance average for all individuals served</li>
<li>Other essential functions and tasks necessary to carry out the purposes of the position will be required</li>
<li>Adheres to TPC Business Code of Conduct and reports concerns if ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised</li>
</ul>
Required qualifications to be successful in the job:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a major in psychology, sociology, social work, counseling, or other related human services field for QMHP credentialing</li>
<li>For Case Manager I, no experience required</li>
<li>For Case Manager II, minimum one (1) year of experience in behavioral health case management</li>
<li>For Case Manager III, minimum two (2) years of experience in behavioral health case management</li>
<li>Graduate work in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of experience</li>

<li>Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable under agency vehicle policy</li>

<li>Previous experience in mental health crisis de-escalation and intervention</li>
<li>Understanding of person-centered and trauma-informed care principles</li>
<li>Ability to build rapport quickly and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds</li>
<li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills</li>
