Your Role as a Therapist
<ul>
<li> Help students and families gain insight into their difficulties and facilitate change by conducting individual, group and family psychotherapy </li>
<li> Provide crisis assessment and psychotherapy intervention as needed to address emergent situations during the school day </li>
<li> Complete biopsychosocial assessments as part of the intake/referral process, discharge summaries, transition planning and goal progress </li>
<li> Maintain student's clinical file by recording entries of treatment sessions, completing treatment plans and progress reports, and providing information on goal progress in relevant documentation such as IEP's, I&amp;RS plans, and 504 plans </li>
<li> Prepare discharge summaries and mid-year and end-of-year clinical summaries </li>
<li> Prepare clinical presentations for staff meetings regarding issues pertinent to presenting needs </li>
<li> Support educational staff through clinical intervention and sharing of knowledge </li>

Required Qualifications:

<li> Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a closely related field from an accredited institution. </li>
<li> Active New Jersey Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certificate. </li>

Sibley Memorial Hospital is a non-profit, full service 318 bed acute care community hospital serving the Washington, DC area. Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic and skilled nursing inpatient services, as well as a 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley’s campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence; a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers; and the new patient tower with 200 spacious, private rooms.

Our team of radiation oncologist, dosimetrists, physicists, therapists, and nurses are all specially trained to treat specific cancers and we work side-by-side with other Johns Hopkins experts, including surgical oncology, medical oncology, pathology, and interventional radiology to create individualized treatment plans for each patient, using targeted technologies including Proton Therapy and procedures such as Brachytherapy. Our patient safety program - cited as one of the best in the nation - employs quality assurance protocols and innovative techniques to ensure safety and well-being of all of our patients.

We are searching for a Radiation Therapist to join our elite Proton team at Sibley Memorial Hospital. As a Therapist you will prepare and apply ionizing radiation to patients.
Our Proton center uses the Hitatchi Gantry for pencil beam scanning and Vision RT for surface guided radiation therapy. We service a large number of pediatric patients with and without sedation as we team with Children's National Medical Center. The department has three (3) treatment rooms and see an average of 20 patients per day per room.
