The Staff Pad has partnered with Allegiance Trucking and is seeking a Service Manager for their Hudson Valley shop in Hudson, New York. 
Primary Responsibilities 
<ul>
<li>Day to day management of a service department that maintains and repairs commercial medium and heavy-duty diesel trucks.</li>
<li>Focus on maximizing uptime of every vehicle while minimizing the overall maintenance and repair costs of our customers.</li>
<li>Oversees a staff of diesel technicians and administrative staff</li>
<li>Able to recognize warranty failures, warranty claims and process of warranty recovery</li>
<li>Manage service requests of commercial truck customers with urgency and professionalism</li>
<li>Develop and manage relationships with vendors and customers</li>
<li>Assist management team in preparing an Annual Business Plan and Budget.</li>
<li>Responsible for ensuring Navistar Diamond Edge &amp; Prestige Service Standards are met</li>
<li>Assist with other projects as needed</li>
</ul>
Safety and Compliance 
<ul>
<li>Have full understanding of U.S. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (CFR 396).</li>
<li>Implement procedures as necessary to keep Idealease and contracted customers in compliance with regulations. Stay current with changes in the regulations.</li>
<li>Monitor and manage satisfactory CSA Vehicle Basic scores for all customers.</li>
<li>Inventory and manage process to keep maintenance file documentation of customer and company vehicles in accordance with the U.S. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (CFR 396).</li>
<li>Develop, communicate, and enforce established company safety policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Certify all technicians for U.S. DOT Annual Inspections, brake inspections, and other maintenance procedures in accordance with the corresponding regulations.</li>
<li>Work with corporate Facilities Manager to ensure facility maintains compliance with local and federal safety and environmental standards</li>
</ul>
Sales and Customer Relations 
<ul>
<li>Create and maintain positive relationships with all customers.</li>
<li>Maintain minimum 90% Customer Retention Rate.</li>
<li>Investigate and establish course of action for customer maintenance issues and problems.</li>
</ul>
Department and Personnel Management 
<ul>
<li>Review and compare monthly financial results against the business plan and initiate any corrective action as necessary.</li>
<li>Implement and monitor shop productivity measures.</li>
<li>Create shop environment that assures cleanliness, safety, and customer focus.</li>
<li>Develop, implement, and promote service training.</li>
<li>Assist in collection of past due invoices as needed.</li>
<li>Handle all customer, employee, and vendor issues in a professional and courteous man</li>
</ul>
Required Skills for Senior Accountant:
<ul>
<li>Consistent track record of successfully meeting and exceeding sales goals</li>
<li>Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required</li>
<li>Minimum 5-7 years of automotive/trucking management experience</li>
<li>Valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).  Class B CDL or the ability to obtain if preferred.</li>

MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

The Staff Pad has partnered with an established and rapidly growing Trucking Company and we are looking to hire Service Techs in multiple locations. POSITION DESCRIPTION: In a retail dealership environment,conduct diesel equipment repairs and preventive maintenance requirements;correcting vehicle deficiencies; make adjustments and alignments.
 
HLAs – HIGH LEVERAGE ACTIVITIES (focus actions that willreturn the highest impact):
1. Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspectionsand diagnostic test; identifying worn and damaged parts focusing on safety,quality and customer up time.
2. Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing,adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing majorassemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power anddrive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering,hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments andalignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms,governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.
3. Embrace training opportunities maintaining certificationin OEM products. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND
PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.Including trouble shooting, electrical and diagnostic services.
• Read Repair Order, observe and listen to vehicle inoperation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, enginesand components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinderheads, rod and main bearings, oil pans, clutches, fan hubs, differentials,fifth wheels, brakes, change or recharge batteries, and replace transmissionsand other parts.
• Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specifiedsafety devices on trucks, and adjust as needed.
• Lubricate moving parts and drive repaired vehicle toverify conformance to specifications.
• Advise the Service Manager if additional repair work isnecessary.
• Tag all warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk.
• Maintain a neat and orderly working area, and properhandling of company tools.
• Follow safe work practices and procedures, uses safetyequipment when required, responds to suggestions for working safely and seeksassistance when necessary.
• Attend training classes and keep abreast of factorytechnical bulletins.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or GED is required. Combination ofeducation, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge,skills, and abilities will be considered.
