Directs and coordinates purchasing and distribution of raw materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies by performing the following duties:
Responsibilities
- Prepares instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures
- Prepares and issues purchase orders and change notices
- Maintains purchasing records in compliance with established company policies and procedures
- Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepares market analysis reports
- Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy
- Establishes and maintains raw material inventories
- Directs preventative maintenance program in conjunction with maintenance personnel
- Arranges for disposal of surplus materials
