Job Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care and assists nursing staff in delivering high-quality healthcare services. The CNA supports patients with daily living activities, monitors their condition, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.**
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Help patients with mobility, transfers, positioning, and range-of-motion exercises.
- Observe and report changes in patients' physical, emotional, or mental condition to the nursing team.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and activities.
- Assist with meal setup and monitor food and fluid intake when required.
- Keep patient rooms clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Follow infection control procedures and safety protocols.
- Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and their families.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and requests for assistance.
- Assist nurses and other healthcare professionals with patient care as directed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in FL.
- Current CPR certification.
- Knowledge of patient care techniques, infection prevention, and safety procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, move, and assist patients safely.
- Compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift and move patients and equipment.
- Bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
