Position Summary: The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive women's health care by assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic OB-GYN conditions. Perform preventive screenings and office procedures, prescribe medications, educate patients, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams. Maintain accurate documentation and deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in accordance with established clinical standards and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Master's in nursing
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Certified Nurse Practitioner
- License:
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse Practitioner
- Experience:
- 2 years within Family Health specialty
U.S. Citizenship is required
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Comprehensive Women's Health Care: Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acute, chronic, and preventive obstetric and gynecologic conditions across the lifespan, developing individualized, evidence-based plans of care.
- Perform Clinical Procedures: Conduct well-woman exams, prenatal and postpartum care, pelvic exams, contraceptive management (IUDs/Nexplanon), STI screening and counseling, colposcopies, endometrial biopsies, cervical cancer screening, and other office-based diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Coordinate Patient Care: Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to manage patient care, facilitate referrals, document clinical findings, communicate test results, and ensure continuity of care for complex and high-risk patients.
- Educate and Support Patients: Counsel patients on women's health, disease prevention, reproductive health, treatment options, and healthy lifestyles through in-person, telephone, and secure messaging consultations while promoting patient-centered care.
- Maintain Clinical Excellence: Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice, ensure compliance with clinical standards and organizational policies, participate in quality improvement and peer review activities, and support staff education, training, and organizational initiatives.

Work Environment & Schedule: On site, JBSA Lackland AFB, Monday-Friday 7:30am to 4:30.
Physical requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods while performing patient assessments, examinations, and office-based procedures. Requires manual dexterity, visual acuity, and the ability to lift or assist with up to 25 pounds while providing safe, effective patient care in a clinical setting.
