Position Summary
The HR Manager assists the Human Resources Director in managing the HR Department and ensuring compliance with agency, state, and federal regulations. This role is key to fostering a positive workplace and supporting staff development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and administer HR plans and procedures for all agency personnel.
- Participate in setting departmental goals and recommend improvements.
- Assist with job descriptions, salary surveys, compensation analysis, and performance evaluations.
- Verify pre-employment screening and maintain accurate personnel records.
- Ensure proper orientation and compliance for new hires.
- Oversee HR staff tasks in branch offices and provide guidance on complex issues.
- Investigate sensitive matters, administer accommodations, and attend exit reviews as needed.
- Recommend new training approaches and policies for continuous improvement.

Experience & Education
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

DSSW's programs are designed to assist persons with disabilities in achieving the greatest degree of independence possible within their community. The evaluation process by a nurse and the interview process by a program director and your independent case manager assure that an individual's needs are identified so that they can be met by the services available in each program.
