The CTICU specializes in patients who require invasive cardiac monitoring, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), mechanical cardiac support, and advanced care for severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). The Staff or Senior Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner and a member of the care delivery team. The APP is responsible to set the standards for the level and quality of care.
