Key Qualifications:
- Current School Psychologist certification or eligibility required
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Strong skills in assessment, consultation, and intervention strategies
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a full-time psychologist, educational staff, and families
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Commitment to in-person work and student-centered practice
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify the needs of students (serving approximately 200 identified students) through formal and informal evaluation tools
- Collaborate with the existing full-time psychologist and larger school team on the development and implementation of interventions and support plans
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions as needed
- Participate in eligibility, IEP, and multi-disciplinary team meetings
- Offer consultation and guidance to teachers, administrators, and families regarding academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Provide crisis intervention and support as necessary
