Position:

Our Superintendent is responsible for supporting the successful execution of luxury custom home and remodeling projects through daily field supervision, subcontractor coordination, quality control, and job site safety. This role works closely with project managers, clients, trade partners, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to Cullen Construction's exceptional standards of craftsmanship.The ideal candidate is a hands-on construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in delivering high-quality work, and excels at building strong relationships with homeowners, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.


As a key member of the project team, the Superintendent plays an essential role in maintaining project schedules, overseeing field operations, and ensuring every project reflects Cullen Construction's longstanding reputation for excellence, integrity, and customer service.


Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Support the successful execution of luxury custom home and remodeling projects by coordinating daily field operations and job site activities.
  2. Supervise subcontractors, vendors, material deliveries, and job site logistics to keep projects running safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  3. Monitor construction progress and communicate project updates with the Site Supervisor and internal project team.
  4. Assist in maintaining project schedules using Buildertrend while proactively identifying potential delays and helping keep projects on track.
  5. Conduct routine job site inspections to ensure quality workmanship, attention to detail, and compliance with construction plans and company standards.
  6. Identify and communicate field challenges, design conflicts, and project risks while collaborating on effective solutions.
  7. Maintain accurate daily logs, project documentation, and progress updates using Buildertrend.
  8. Coordinate inspections and prepare job sites to ensure compliance with local building codes, permit requirements, and company expectations.
  9. Assist with punch list completion, project closeout activities, warranty items, and final quality inspections to deliver an exceptional finished product.
  10. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site that reflects Cullen Construction's commitment to excellence.
  11. Promote and enforce a safe working environment by following company safety policies and encouraging safe work practices among all trade partners.
  12. Build strong working relationships with homeowners, subcontractors, vendors, architects, designers, inspectors, and other project stakeholders.
  13. Support the Site Supervisor in delivering an exceptional client experience through proactive communication, responsiveness, and attention to detail.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Working knowledge of residential construction methods, building systems, materials, and construction sequencing.
  2. Understanding of luxury custom home construction and high-end residential remodeling projects.
  3. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, scopes of work, and other project documentation.
  4. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Ability to effectively coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners while fostering positive working relationships.
  6. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a proactive approach to resolving field challenges.
  7. Knowledge of job site safety practices, OSHA standards, and applicable residential building codes.
  8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Teams; experience with construction management software such as Buildertrend is preferred.
  9. Commitment to delivering exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and outstanding customer service throughout every phase of construction.


Experience Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 3 years of residential construction experience, preferably within custom home construction or luxury renovations.
  2. Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and jobsite activities.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, and quality control practices.
  4. Experience maintaining construction documentation and daily project reporting.
  5. Certified OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 preferred, or willingness to train.
  6. Hands on construction-related experience, preferred.
