The Resident Services Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of non-sheltered needs of the resident population. Effective service provision is encouraged through cooperation within the management team to enhance the residents’ ability to live independently and safely in their community. Resident Services Coordinator is directly supervised by the Co-Directors of Compliance
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following areas:
A. Knowledge of community support resources, the eligibility for accessing these services and the delivery methods.
B. Ability to empower residents to make personal decisions, increase self-esteem and maximize independence.
C. Ability to collaborate with on-site staff, state, federal and community agencies.
D. Ability to establish trust, to listen and to assist residents in defining their problems and identifying possible resources and solutions.
E. Possess organizational and time management skills and flexibility.
H.. Ability to provide advocacy for the resident population.
G. Serve as a liaison between residents and management.
H. Coordinate and implement programs of social, medical, psychological and rehabilitative services.
I. Improve the quality of life within the development and promote a positive sense of community among resident population.
J. Establish appropriate on-site educational and wellness programs.
K. Provide direct interventions and crisis intervention to residents.
L. Develop effective working relationships with federal, state and local community agencies and service providers.
M. Provide support and referrals to local, state and federal agencies and service providers.
N. Maintain documentation of interventions, services and communication in a confidential manner.
O. Complete and submit necessary HUD reports and other documentation as required.
P. Be able to conduct and plan social&nbsp;events for tenants
QUALIFICATIONS: SKILLS &amp; ABILITIES
A. Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field preferred
B. 2 to 5 years’ experience required
C. Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office required
D. Excellent communication skills both oral and written
E. Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her action
F. Trait of being dependable and trustworthy
G. Ability to utilize available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines
H. Ability to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work
I. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred

Job Summary:
Property Management firm in Manhattan is seeking an experienced Full-time Security Officer with Fire, Life &amp; Safety Director experience. This role will assume responsibility over security of the premises and compliance with fire, life and safety directives.This security role is for the 2nd shift; availability needed is Monday-Friday, 2:00pm - 10:00pm.
 
Job Specific Responsibilities and Duties:
<ul>
<li>Greets patients of this medical facility and provide direction to the appropriate office during normal office hours.</li>
<li>Patrols and monitors areas to ensure safety to tenants, patients and property after hours.</li>
<li>Conducts periodic inspections in line with local rules and regulations to identify fire, safety and security risks and implements solutions</li>
<li>Reviews, maintains and implements fire prevention, safety, and security plans across facility; conducts fire and non-fire drills, training, etc.</li>
<li>Reports suspicious behavior or other emergencies to appropriate authorities</li>
<li>Ensures security of the building – routinely inspects windows, doors, gates, security system monitors, etc.</li>
<li>Escorts trespassers and other unwelcome parties off premises</li>
<li>Drafts and submits reports and work orders related to successful fire, safety and security operations</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and detailed log shift notes</li>
<li>Performs other related duties as assigned</li>
</ul>
 
Basic Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication</li>
<li>Able to handle physical requirements (travel safely throughout facility, detain suspect individuals if necessary, lifting., etc.)</li>
<li>Valid security guard license</li>
<li>Ability to obtain Certificate of Fitness for Fire Life &amp; Safety Director (F89/T89) within 6 months of employ. Current certificate holders and experience as a Fire, Life &amp; Safety Director preferred.</li>
<li>Minimum five years related experience in a safety &amp; security position</li>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent required</li>
</ul>
