Job Summary
The Purdue University College of Pharmacy is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmacy Practice. The Department is composed of dynamic faculty with diverse scholarly and engagement interests that include clinical practice, clinical sciences, public health, and social and administrative sciences.
The Department Head is responsible for implementing a multifaceted mission by direct and collaborative efforts relating to vision and leadership, program administration, personnel development, and scholarly activities that occur on the West Lafayette and Indianapolis campuses. Additionally, programmatic oversight is required for graduate programs, residency and fellowship programs, and international programs in London, Colombia, and Eldoret, Kenya. The latter of which is part of a collaboration with the Indiana University (IU) School of Medicine’s Nobel-prize nominated Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare (AMPATH) program. The Department Head also is a member of the Dean’s Leadership Team and contributes to the teaching of Doctor of Pharmacy and graduate students.
The Department consists of 20 tenure-track faculty, 25 clinical faculty, along with many adjunct faculty and hundreds of affiliate faculty preceptors. Many practice in specialized areas such as drug information, internal medicine, ambulatory care, cardiology, infectious diseases, women’s health, and nuclear pharmacy. Research initiatives are also highly diverse, with a broad portfolio of funding from federal and state agencies, industry, and foundations.
Within the Department of Pharmacy Practice, two graduate program tracks exist: (a) Health Services Outcomes and Policy and (b) Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences, the latter of which operates in close collaboration with the Division of Clinical Pharmacology at the Indiana University (IU) School of Medicine. The Department also offers several PGY1 and PGY2 residency programs and many fellowship programs in collaboration with pharmaceutical industry sponsors and the FDA. Additional centers and programs within the Department include Rx-SafeNet (a pharmacy practice-based research network), the oldest and largest nuclear pharmacy training program in the country, and an endowed Center for Health Equity and Innovation. Beyond the Department, long-term partnerships and collaborations exist with the Regenstrief Institute for Health Care, the Indiana University Schools of Medicine and Public Health, Eskenazi Health, IU Health, and other health systems across Indiana.
The College is seeking candidates who possess a Doctor of Pharmacy, PhD in Pharmacy, and/or other related doctoral degree and have a solid record of: (a) a vibrant and funded scholarly research program, (b) effective leadership in areas related to the practice of pharmacy, and (c) excellence in teaching. Prior administrative experience is desirable, but not required. The appointment is at the level of full professor (with tenure), and an appointment to an Endowed Professorship will be considered for highly qualified candidates.

We seek an individual with expertise involving human participant research in Neuropsychology/Clinical Neuroscience. This position is at the intersection of the neuropsychology, neuroscience, and cognitive psychology fields. Purpose: The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Santa Clara University is seeking a tenure-track assistant professor beginning fall 2024. Santa Clara University is a highly ranked Jesuit, Catholic university with an ACS-approved undergraduate program and is located in the Silicon Valley. Responsibilities Tenure track faculty at SCU are teaching scholars who are expected to balance teaching, research and service. This is an in-person position. More specifically, duties include but are not limited to:
TEACHING 1. Teach lower- and upper-division courses in the major and university core curriculum, as assigned by the chair and subdisciplinary expertise. &nbsp;SCU is on the quarter system and a typical load is two courses per quarter. Teaching responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: a. Conducting and appearing at all assigned class meetings in a timely and prepared manner that demonstrates a command of the discipline and skill in presenting it effectively. b. Assigning and evaluating written work, projects, and exams that align with course or core learning objectives and providing timely feedback to students. c. Holding weekly office hours at times reasonably convenient to students. d. Assigning and submitting student grades that are appropriate, accurate, and fair measures of student performance to the Office of the Registrar by the designated deadline. e. Administering numerical and narrative evaluations in each section for all courses.
 2. Develop and teach courses that contribute to curriculum development in the relevant degree program and/or the university core. &nbsp;Faculty teaching university core courses should follow an approved syllabus or work with the chair to design an appropriate syllabus for submission for approval from the relevant Faculty Core Curriculum Committee.
 3. Participate in assessment of student learning for courses in the department.
 4. Provide informed advice and mentoring to undergraduate students.
 5. Fulfill other instructional or academic duties as may be assigned by the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences or by the Chair of the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department.
 RESEARCH 1. Setting up a laboratory to perform computational research that will engage undergraduates and lead to sustained publication of results in reputable, peer-reviewed journals. 2. Pursuing external funding for individual and departmental research and teaching objectives.

Assistant Professor in Computational Chemistry, Computational Biochemistry or Cheminformatics

The Chief of Endocrinology will provide strategic leadership and direction for all aspects of the&nbsp;Division. The Division Chief will be responsible for all planning, policy, operations, and&nbsp;oversight of academic, research, and clinical programs of the Division. The Chief of Endocrinology&nbsp;will have financial authority over the division&nbsp; budget, including extramural research and&nbsp;philanthropic funding received and other financial matters for the division, in accordance with&nbsp;applicable University policies and practices. The Chief of Endocrinology will have discretion in&nbsp;the recruitment and retention of division faculty who will have a direct reporting line. Qualified&nbsp;candidates must possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) or equivalent degree&nbsp;from an accredited institution and be eligible for a University of Arizona academic appointment at&nbsp;the Associate or Full Professor rank. Gross Anatomy is taught in the first semester and is focused on team-teaching and, as such, faculty have adequate time to engage in research and/or writing. The UMHS academic year has three semesters; therefore, teaching responsibilities occur throughout the year.&nbsp; UMHS has a state-of-the-art anatomy dissection laboratory which allows a 6/1 student to&nbsp;cadaver.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Delivering effective lectures utilizing a variety of teaching techniques and state of the art &nbsp; teaching technologies. 4. Course description:&nbsp;Gross and Developmental Anatomy focuses on the gross structure of organs and their function, and through clinical correlations, relates each to clinical medicine.&nbsp; An Anatomical Learning Resource Center has been established to utilize computer-based instruction, anatomical models, radiographic materials as well as supervised laboratory sessions dissecting various parts of the human body.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Students study the structure and function of all organs with some interaction with cellular structure.&nbsp; This course incorporates an understanding of how embryological processes give rise to the mature body form.&nbsp; When this course is complete, each student will have extensive knowledge of the gross anatomy and development of the entire human body as it relates clinically to the practice of medicine.
Salary and Benefits: &nbsp;The position is full time and the salary is commensurate with teaching experience and degree.&nbsp; The faculty member is provided with an excellent health care plan which covers both US and St. Kitts health care. &nbsp; Since there are three fifteen week semesters the faculty member has seven weeks’ vacation a year which comes as the last two weeks in May, August, and three weeks in December.&nbsp; Faculty are also provided an annual one week leave with expenses to attend a pre-approved professional convention.
