This is an excellent opportunity for someone with foundational logistics experience who is looking to grow their career in international freight and transportation. The position will begin as a temporary assignment with the potential to transition into a full-time role based on performance and business needs. Key Responsibilities
- Support daily international logistics and freight operations.
- Learn to prepare and provide customer quotes for international shipments.
- Assist with shipment coordination and documentation.
- Generate reports and maintain accurate records.
- Enter and manage shipment data within the CargoWise operating system.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the shipping process.
- Learn and follow company procedures for international logistics and compliance.
Qualifications
- Some experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or freight forwarding preferred.
- Knowledge of the Automated Export System (AES) is a plus.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Comfortable learning new software systems; experience with CargoWise is a plus but not required.
- Excellent typing, organizational, and data entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
