Summary of Job Purpose and Function&nbsp;
The primary purpose and function of the Locum Veterinarian is to provide preventative care, diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries of Pets.
Essential Responsibilities

<li>Ensure the Safety of Pets, clients and associates by utilizing safe restraining techniques, following standard protocols and maintaining clean, sterile and organized treatment areas, exam rooms and labs.</li>
<li>Obtain relevant information and history from clients, and maintain proper and complete medical records.</li>
<li>Educate clients about preventative care, Pet health needs, any diagnosis or treatment, hospital services and other related information.</li>
<li>Provide professional, efficient and exceptional service including prescribing and administering preventative care for the wellness needs of Pets and diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries of Pets.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Effectively communication diagnosis and treatment plan to veterinary medical team and client.</li>
<li>Ensure local, state and federal laws are followed, including proper maintenance of the controlled substance inventory log.</li>
<li>Understand and follow state guidelines regarding duties of veterinary assistants and licensed veterinary technicians.</li>

Experience, Education and/or Training&nbsp;

<li>Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required.</li>

Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>At minimum 1 - 2 years’ experience preferred </li>
<li>Graduate from an accredited school </li>
<li>Certifications may be required based on facility requirements </li>
<li>Physical abilities – remain in a stationary position, move and lift equipment (50-100 lbs), pushing, bending and pulling </li>

Position Information:
Role: Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Tele | Weekend Option
Location: Our Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128
Work Schedule: Weekend Option (Friday, Saturday &amp; Sunday) | Full-Time | 36 hours/week
Weekend Differential: Receive an additional $20/hour for all hours worked from Friday 7:00 AM to Monday 7:00 AM.
Sign-On Bonus:

<li>Experienced Nurses: Up to $10,000</li>
<li>New Graduate Nurses (less than 1 year of experience): Up to $5,000</li>

Role Summary: The Registered Nurse will employ the nursing process to deliver patient care. You will be accountable for the care provided to your assigned patients and will assess the effectiveness of care delivered by other caregivers. Collaboration with various departments to coordinate patient care is essential. You will uphold patient rights and maintain confidentiality while performing your duties in alignment with our mission, values, and service standards.
Qualifications:
Education: Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program with one of the following:

<li>Associate Degree in Nursing</li>
<li>Nursing Diploma</li>
<li>Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)</li>
</ul>
Licensure: A current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri is required, or a compact license in accordance with state nursing board regulations.
Experience: Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred and may be necessary depending on the unit.
Certifications:

<li>Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications:

<li>Education: BSN is preferred</li>
<li>Licensure: Additional state licenses or specialty certifications are preferred</li>
<li>Experience: Prior experience in a specialty area or similar clinical environment</li>

Physical Requirements:

<li>Prolonged standing and walking throughout shifts</li>
