Sign Language Interpreter

Job Description

We are seeking an ASL interpreter to join our team for the 25-26 school year in the KC metro area! In this role, you will engage with students and passionate teammates in a school district setting.

$35-$45 hour depending on experience and selected job class

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional interpretation to students
• Participate in meetings with colleagues and family members related to the student's education
• Work collaboratively with professionals in many other disciplines

Requirements:

1. Must provide proof of the completion of a minimum of 60 college credit hours, OR in lieu of this, must pass the Para Professional Exam or the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) test
2. EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
3. Submitted a sworn statement confirming they have read, understand, and agree to abide by the EIPA Code of Professional Conduct for Educational Interpreters; and
4. Registered with the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR).
