Our client is a designated 5-Star Patient-Centered Primary Care Home in the state of Oregon - it's highest designation. For the past number of years, they have been participating in CMS's Comprehensive Primary Care Initiative, which seeks to help practices achieve better care and better patient experience, while lowering the overall cost of care. Their designation as a PCPCH and selection for participation in the CPCI have been a recognition of their efforts to improve the quality of health care in the region and have helped provide continuing momentum for ongoing innovation.
Since the spring of 2007, they have been using the electronic medical record eClinical Works. Position Summary: Aldevra is seeking highly qualified Primary Care Physicians to provide onsite medical services at the Eugene Veterans Affairs (VA) Health Care Center in Eugene , OR. The PCP will deliver high-quality primary care to veterans and beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in accordance with the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) guidelines. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Workplace Safety and Environment:
Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) working in VA Medical Centers (VAMCs) or Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs), will adhere to infection control, biohazard handling, and PPE protocols to ensure a safe environment. Physicians must follow HIPAA regulations, OSHA standards, and VA workplace safety policies, including radiation safety, ergonomic best practices, and emergency response procedures.
Physicians will manage high patient volumes, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and provide care to aging veterans, combat-injured patients, and those with PTSD or mental health challenges. Workplace violence prevention training and security measures are in place for safety. All incidents, exposures, or patient safety concerns must be reported per VA compliance and occupational health requirements.
This position requires passing an extensive background check.
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.</li>
<li>Active and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.</li>
<li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.</li>
<li>Minimum two (2) years of experience as a practicing physician in a primary care setting preferred.</li>
<li>Familiarity with VA policies, procedures, and electronic health records (EHR/CPRS) is a plus.</li>
<li>Ability to pass a background check and credentialing process required by the VA.</li>
<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent telephone etiquette and precise documentation.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced level), online calendars, and cloud-based systems.</li>
<li>Detail-oriented with accurate data entry skills.</li>
<li>Customer-focused with a team-oriented work ethic.</li>
<li>Ability to multi-task efficiently and accurately while maintaining quality standards.</li>
<li>Must provide proof of required immunizations.</li>
