Long-Term Care Leadership Experience Required
This position requires previous leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care facility.

Position Summary
As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you will assist in overseeing the daily operations of the nursing department while ensuring high standards of clinical care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and quality outcomes.
Working alongside the Director of Nursing, you will mentor nursing staff, support survey readiness, promote clinical excellence, and help create a positive work environment for both employees and residents.
Responsibilities

Assist with the daily operations of the nursing department

Lead, coach, and mentor nursing staff

Assist with hiring, onboarding, orientation, and retention of nursing team members

Ensure compliance with CMS, state, and federal regulations
-
Maintain survey readiness and support quality improvement initiatives

Conduct audits, chart reviews, and clinical monitoring
-
Participate in interdisciplinary care planning
-
Assist with infection prevention, staff education, and performance improvement
-
Serve as acting Director of Nursing as needed
Qualifications
Required
-
Active, unrestricted North Carolina RN license
-
Minimum of two years of leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care facility

Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, survey readiness, and regulatory compliance

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
-
Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Preferred

BSN preferred
-
Experience as an ADON, Unit Manager, Staff Development Coordinator (SDC), RN Supervisor, Infection Preventionist, or similar nurse leadership role
