We are seeking an experienced Scraper Operator to join our team in Charlotte, NC.
Responsibilities:

Operate a scraper to support a variety of heavy civil construction projects.

Operate additional equipment as needed, including loaders, excavators, dozers, motor graders, compactors, water trucks, skid steers, backhoes, mechanized brooms, and other construction equipment.

Work closely with crew members to complete daily project activities and follow site direction.

Complete daily equipment inspections and accurately document findings.

Keep assigned equipment clean and in good operating condition.

Perform routine equipment checks and communicate maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate supervisor.

Participate in daily crew meetings and project planning activities.

Operate equipment in accordance with company procedures, project requirements, and applicable regulations.

Communicate equipment concerns, operational issues, or job site observations to the supervisor.

Assist with additional duties as needed to support project operations.

When equipment operation is not required, assist the crew with general labor activities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Familiarity with electronic equipment controls and operating systems.

Strong hand-eye coordination and equipment operating skills.

Working knowledge of heavy civil construction methods and job site operations.

Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather and environmental conditions.

Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting materials and working on uneven terrain.

Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED preferred.
-
Two or more years of experience operating scrapers or other heavy construction equipment preferred.
-
Experience working on heavy civil, roadway, earthwork, or site development projects is a plus.
