As we launch our new hospice program in Billings, we're looking for caring Hospice Aides who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families.

Position Summary

Everwind Hospice is seeking a compassionate PRN Hospice Aide (CNA) to provide personal care and supportive services to hospice patients in their homes, assisted living communities, and skilled nursing facilities. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and as part of an interdisciplinary team, you will help promote comfort, dignity, and quality of life for patients facing a life-limiting illness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, skin care, and mobility assistance.

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living while promoting comfort, independence, and dignity.

  • Observe and report changes in patients' physical, emotional, or environmental conditions to the supervising nurse.

  • Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.

  • Document care provided accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.

  • Follow the individualized plan of care and hospice philosophy, focusing on comfort, quality of life, and patient choice.

  • Communicate effectively with members of the interdisciplinary hospice team.

Qualifications

  • Current Montana Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.

  • Minimum of one year of CNA experience required; hospice, home health, long-term care, or palliative care experience preferred.

  • Current CPR certification preferred.

  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently while providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

  • Commitment to treating patients and families with dignity, empathy, and respect.
