Position Overview: We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our partner nonprofit’s team on a permanent basis. This is a remote position that reports directly to the Director of Finance and will manage a team of 4 accounting professionals. The ideal candidate will have expertise in nonprofit accounting, excellent leadership skills, and experience working with Blackbaud Financial Edge.
Key Responsibilities:

<li>Supervise and support a team of 4 accounting professionals to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.</li>
<li>Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.</li>
<li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and organizational policies.</li>
<li>Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insight and recommendations for financial planning.</li>
<li>Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all financial discrepancies are resolved.</li>
<li>Ensure accurate and timely reporting in accordance with nonprofit regulations and best practices.</li>
<li>Collaborate with the Director of Finance to improve financial reporting processes, policies, and controls.</li>
<li>Utilize Blackbaud Financial Edge for all accounting functions and maintain the integrity of the financial data.</li>

Qualifications:

<li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or other relevant certifications a plus).</li>
<li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role, ideally in a nonprofit environment.</li>
<li>Strong proficiency with Blackbaud Financial Edge (Preferred).</li>
<li>Knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles, including fund accounting and restricted funds.</li>
<li>Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing accounting team.</li>
<li>Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with staff at all levels.</li>
