Position Summary:

Fusion is seeking Engineering Technicians to provide technical oversight and quality control. The Engineering Technician will support major construction projects.

This role requires field inspections, contractor evaluations, and collaboration with government personnel to support mission-critical projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working in federal government environments, and the ability to operate within a Top-Secret security framework.


Security Clearance Requirement:

  • Active Secret (S) clearance required; Top Secret (TS) preferred
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain clearance at the necessary level for assigned duties

Key Responsibilities:


Construction Oversight & Quality Assurance

  • Review and enforce construction drawings, including quality control
  • Conductsite inspectionsto evaluate conditions, recommend improvements, and oversee contractor execution
  • Ensure projects comply withfederal, DoD, and engineering standardsfor safety and performance
  • Manage the three-phase control quality management process to verify compliance at all project stages


Collaboration & Compliance

  • Work closely withengineers, contractors, and government officialsto ensure project alignment with mission objectives
  • Develop and maintaintechnical reports, engineering documentation, and compliance records
  • Participate inmeetings, site briefings, and contract performance reviewsto provide technical insight


Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Ability towork in high-security environmentsrequiringstrict access controls and security protocols
  • Work in indoor and outdoor environments, including nearhigh-voltage switchgear and substations
  • Requires the possibility of lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces

Qualifications & Requirements:


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree (B.S.) in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field(preferred)
  • 6+ years of experience in engineering, construction quality control, or infrastructure management
  • Experience withDoD construction projects, military facilities, or government contractingpreferred


Certifications & Technical Skills:

  • Active Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification (Preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of civil, mechanical, and electrical construction principles and facility system operations and maintenance
  • Familiarity withfederal construction regulations, NEC, OSHA, and safety compliance standards
  • Proficiency inMicrosoft Office
