Position Overview: 
 
The Level 2 Field Services Technician will report directly to his or her regional Team Leader. In this role, the Level 2 Field Services Technician’s key responsibility is to perform in-warranty, end-user computer hardware breakfix repairs and replacements. The individual will need to have knowledge of operating systems, computer hardware and peripherals (preferably Dell), including but not limited to screens, motherboards, hard drives, etc., as well as networking and server systems.
 
Hours and Location:

This is a full-time position primarily aligned to 8:00am to 6:00pm EST hours. Occasional calls and meeting attendance off-hours may be required to adhere to global client time zones. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li> Diagnose, research, and troubleshoot computer operating system issues (Hardware, Server, iDRAC, other hardware peripherals). ·</li>
<li>Respond promptly and professionally to alerts and end-user IT issues. · </li>
<li>Update the internal ticket coordination team and internal ticket mobile application with ticket status information for purposes of demonstrating compliance with issue response and resolution, logging daily activities and documenting solutions. · </li>
<li>Repair and replace parts in desktops, laptops, virtual machines, servers, back-up systems and miscellaneous devices. · </li>
<li>Pick-up repair parts at local pick-up location, return defective parts to local drop-off location. · </li>
<li>Function as primary point of contact and communication with end-customer from the day of dispatch of the ticket to the successful resolution of issue. </li>

Requirements for Technician:
<ul>
<li>Driver’s license and personal vehicle with the ability to travel within a daily radius to pick-up parts at designated pick-up and drop-off locations and to support various end-clients. </li>
<li>Must have a high school diploma. </li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. </li>
<li>Strong knowledge and experience with computer/server hardware and software troubleshooting (experience on DELL hardware and servers is a plus). </li>
<li>Demonstration of punctuality and strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li>

Job DescriptionRotational Field Engineer GCS-SIGAL seeks out challenging, rewarding projects and creative problem solvers to help us build them. We provide general contracting, construction management, and pre-construction services, with an emphasis on design-build project delivery and sustainable construction. Our projects include base buildings, renovations, historic modernizations, and tenant interiors. Position Overview The Rotational Field Engineer at GCS-SIGAL is responsible for supporting field operations on base-building or interior projects, ensuring compliance with safety, scheduling, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction standards. The Rotation of the Field Engineer will be on structured 12-month rotation across four active projects (3 months each), gaining exposure to both field and office project execution. Rotational Field Engineer’s typical responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following: • Assist field team with essential duties • Actively maintain a safe work environment and enforce quality control policies • Creatively solve challenges that arise on projects with a positive attitude • Communicate clearly and effectively to clients and subcontractors on the status of the project • Maintain a clear understanding of how daily operations affect project milestones • Understand contract documents • Attend weekly contractor meetings • Assist in maintaining daily reports and documentation using Procore • Communicate schedule status, updates, and changes to the project team, subcontractors, and owner’s representatives • Assist with overseeing project quality plan Experience/Education • Bachelor’s degree in construction, architecture, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities • Excel at teamwork • Be able to effectively communicate in person, on the phone, and via email • Focus on achieving results • Proven ability to multi-task in deadline-driven environment • Knowledgeable of principles of architecture, engineering, and construction • Strong documentation skills • Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, and specifications • Working knowledge of construction safety protocols • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office GCS-SIGAL offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive benefits and a 401(k) plan.
