About the Role:
Limitless Endeavors is looking for a passionate and dedicated Academic Tutor to join our team in Washington, DC! Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions across a variety of subjects and grade levels
- Assess individual student needs and develop customized learning plans to address academic gaps
- Track and monitor student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
- Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and staff regarding student development
- Create engaging and interactive learning materials to support comprehension and retention
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of sessions, attendance, and academic milestones
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, a subject-specific field, or related discipline preferred
- Active teacher's certification
- Prior tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of core academic subjects such as math, reading, writing, or science
- Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles and needs
- Reliable, organized, and self-motivated with strong time management skills
- Passion for education, youth development, and community impact
