Job Description

Make a difference in young learners’ lives as a Pre K Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This onsite position offers the opportunity to support a dynamic PreK caseload in a collaborative school environment near Antioch, TN. You’ll work school-day hours, engaging with students and contributing to their growth and development throughout the academic year.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active Tennessee Special Education (SPED) License
  • Tennessee endorsements: 459, 465, 468, 2000, 2001
  • Candidates holding a TN SPED endorsement may be eligible to add a PreK endorsement by passing the Praxis exam; strong candidates may have Praxis exam costs covered by the school
  • Experience working with PreK or early childhood special education populations is highly valued
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Direct instruction and support of PreK students with diverse learning needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with staff and families
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment to optimize learning opportunities
  • Participate in school meetings, staff development, and ongoing professional education
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
