Embrace the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of young children by contributing your talents to a dynamic Special Education Pre-K program. This full-time contract position runs from August 4th, 2026 through May 21st, 2027 and involves working 37.5 hours per week with dedicated, compassionate colleagues. The role centers on supporting children aged 3-5 who present with varying levels of developmental and behavioral needs, many of whom are in the early stages of toilet training, may require assistance with feeding, and often exhibit non-verbal or low-verbal communication.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) Teaching Certificate
  • Special and General Education Endorsements appropriate for Pre-K age groups
  • Experience working with children who require assistance with basic self-help skills (toileting, feeding)
  • Strong understanding of behavioral management strategies and communication supports for non-verbal children
  • Commitment to fostering a nurturing, safe learning environment for students of all abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction based on each student’s IEP goals
  • Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to support students’ developmental progress
  • Manage classroom routines related to feeding, toileting, and behavior while maintaining a positive, respectful atmosphere
  • Document progress and communicate regularly with stakeholders regarding achievements and ongoing needs
  • Promote inclusion and developmental growth through creative, adaptive activities

Join a school community that values your expertise, creativity, and passion for helping young learners grow. This position offers the chance to foster foundational skills that will shape children’s futures in an encouraging, team-oriented environment.

If you have a heart for special education and are inspired to empower every child to thrive, apply today and make a difference that lasts a lifetime.
