Lucy School is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic After School Sports Teacher to help expand our after-school athletics and recreation program for students in Preschool through Middle School.
This part-time position will lead engaging, age-appropriate sports and movement classes that promote teamwork, confidence, physical fitness, and fun in a supportive, inclusive environment.
Schedule
- Monday–Thursday
- 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Additional planning time as needed
Responsibilities
- Lead after-school sports classes for students of varying ages.
- Introduce students to a variety of individual and team sports.
- Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive environment.
- Ensure student safety and appropriate supervision at all times.
- Communicate effectively with school staff and families as needed.
- Set up and store equipment before and after classes.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in an educational, recreational, or coaching setting.
- Enthusiasm for teaching sports and promoting healthy lifestyles.
- Strong classroom and group management skills.
- Ability to foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
