Step into a vital support role as a School Psychologist with a contract position beginning this August and running through November 4th. Requirements and Qualifications:
- Current certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Proven experience conducting psychological assessments, developing intervention strategies, and providing counseling in K-12 settings
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, eligibility processes, and IEP development
- Excellent communication, consultation, and collaborative skills with students, families, and school teams
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and thoughtfully prioritize responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform individual and group evaluations to identify students’ needs and inform educational planning
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss assessment findings and recommendations
- Develop and implement interventions to support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth
- Provide direct counseling or crisis intervention as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create safe, supportive school environments
- Document services and maintain confidential student records in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines
