Job Description
Kids First Childcare is seeking caring, energetic, and dependable Early Childhood Teachers to join our team! We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping young children learn, grow, and thrive in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
Teachers may work with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children depending on experience and classroom needs.
Responsibilities
- Create a warm, safe, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Supervise children at all times while ensuring their health and safety.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Follow lesson plans and curriculum while encouraging hands-on learning through play.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Maintain accurate daily records, including attendance, meals, diapering/toileting, and observations.
- Communicate with families through Brightwheel regarding daily activities and milestones.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized classroom that meets OCFS and licensing regulations.
- Assist children with meals, hygiene, diapering, toileting, and rest time as appropriate.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and required trainings.
- Work collaboratively with classroom teams and administration to provide high-quality care.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with young children is preferred but not required.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Must successfully complete all required background checks.
