This role supports the development of clear, accurate documentation and acquisition-related activities, coordinating information and preparing written materials for a highly visible and high-profile government customer.
** This position is for a proposal, requiring Top Secret security clearance and a Letter of Commitment, and is contingent upon contract award.**
Work Location: On-site in National Capital Region (NCR), Monday – Friday, 7:00am to 6:00pm, based upon the needs and direction of the customer.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 10+ years’ experience in federal acquisition processes and technical writing.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook) and MS Project.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Analytically inclined with attention to detail and accuracy, and consistent follow-through to ensure problems are resolved, with the ability to respond to last-minute requests.
- Identify and articulate key information in an efficient and timely manner and exercise discretion and independent judgment when handling situational occurrences.
- Identify areas of opportunity to improve customer satisfaction and demonstrate excellent multitasking and time management skills.
- Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. Citizenship.
- All applicants must have current DoD Top Secret clearance day one and prior to entry on duty.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This position will include, but is not limited to, the following tasks:
- Develop, review and refine Statement of Work (SOWs), Performance Work Statements (PWS’s), Statement of Objectives (SOO’s), and other procurement documents for security-related projects for customer review and approval.
- Assist in preparing acquisition strategies, market research reports, Justification & Approval (J&A) documents, and independent government estimates (IGEs).
- Support solicitation package development, ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and internal acquisition policies.
- Coordinate with program managers, engineers, contracting officers (CO), and vendors to clarify technical requirements and acquisition milestones.
- Track and manage acquisition timelines and deliverables.
- Keep record of contract modifications and award documentation provided by Procurement.
- Produce high-quality draft technical documents including design narratives, requirements documents, project charters, risk assessments, and change management documentation.
- Maintain, update, and standardize construction project documentation, templates, and reference materials.
- Ensure document consistency, technical accuracy, proper formatting, and compliance with customer standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
