Step into a vital role supporting students as a paraprofessional in a dynamic school environment near Maple Grove, MN. This contract opportunity begins approximately September 8, 2026, and runs through June 10, 2027, offering 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, within a collaborative and passionate team. Multiple vacancies are available supporting special education programming, including resource, Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) center-based, and Ready Set LAUNCH center-based programs. Key Qualifications:
- Must be highly qualified by meeting ONE of the following:
- Passing the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (MN Para Educator Exam)
- At least 60 college credits (official transcripts required—photos of diplomas or degrees are not accepted)
- Previous experience in an educational or special education environment preferred
- Willingness to assist students with toileting and personal care as needed
- Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other staff
- Strong communication and organization skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct classroom and one-on-one support to students with diverse learning needs
- Implement instructional and behavioral plans under the guidance of special education teachers
- Assist with personal care tasks, including toileting, to ensure student dignity and comfort
- Collaborate with staff to facilitate successful student inclusion and engagement
- Maintain documentation as required by the district
