This position is situated near the Naval Anacost Annex, DC, and focuses on working with K-5th grade students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Key Qualifications:
- Experience as a special education teacher, particularly supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Proven ability to work with elementary-aged children (K-5th grade)

- Commitment to fostering student growth and achievement
Role Duties:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students on your caseload (8–10 students)
- Adapt curricula and provide interventions based on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Track progress, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Engage in professional development, pre-service training, and ongoing learning
Role Details:
- Two openings for high-needs special education teachers
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm, aligned with the school calendar
- Contract duration: August 10, 2026, through June 23, 2027
- Pre-service/training and first instructional day for students begins August 24, 2026
- Single school site focusing on K-5th grade students
- No specific licensure required for this assignment
