Job Description The Development Director coordinates activitieswith both the Executive Directo rand other program managers. Position Summary/Purpose:
The Washington Performing Arts Advancement team—a creative,lean, and collaborative collective of arts professionals—seeks anexperienced and dynamic Major Gifts Officer (MGO). Washington Performing Arts deeply values its partnerships withlocal organizations and other arts institutions. Through eventsonline and in myriad performance venues and neighborhoods, weengage international visiting artists in community programs andintroduce local artists to wider audiences. We place a premium onestablishing artists as a continuing presence in the lives of bothyoung people and adults through residencies and education programs.Our achievements have been recognized with a National Medal of Artsand with three Mayor’s Arts Awards from the DC Government. We havenow embarked upon our second half-century, ever inspired by themotto of our founder, Patrick Hayes: “Everybody in, nobodyout.”
